Sometimes things just don't work out the way you plan, and that is ok. I am the kind of person that is never scared to try new things, take chances and just live a little. There are far too many amazing things to experience in this life, to stay in one place forever. Turns out, Texas is where our hearts are. You can drive all day long and never even get out of the state, so it's the perfect place for our little family to experience lots of different things. ![]() Just South of Austin Texas is where you will find me. I have spent my entire life loving the outdoors, and we have it all here.... lakes, hill country rivers, and beachs. I love a good sunburn! (I know, I'm supposed to wear sunblock, but its full of toxins and makes me sticky!) I love summer too, and here in Texas we have a lot of that, actually we have two seasons, Fall and Summer, there is really no in between, and since those are my favorites it works out perfect. It's also perfect for sewing, if you spend enough time outside you cant wait to get in the A/C and QUILT!! My entire soul loves the arts, I love color and texture and I love to create things with my hands. My first job was in the floral industry. I learned a lot about plants and flowers from my Mom, and Grandma when I was younger, so designing them to make people happy was the perfect job for me. I was a floral designer all through college as I got my degree in Interior Design and I later opened my own shop showcasing both my skills. But, as I mentioned before, I love change and when I met my husband I couldn't wait to start something new, well my goal wasn't really to start anything new, it was just to do it in a new place. So I begged him to take me to Texas, get me out of the Midwest, where nothing good ever really happened for me. So off we went.... Honestly, it totally sucked at first. We had no money, no family and no plan. But, soon enough we both found jobs, and got a cute little apartment with a balcony that I covered in flowers, you can imagine how excited I was to discover that I could leave them outside all winter. It hardly ever gets cold enough to freeze! We started to make some new friends and find new fun places and pretty soon we got married and bought a house and planted more roots. Both my parents and my baby brother now live here too. So when I say this is home, it really is. Sure, I want to strangle my family pretty often and sometimes I cuss them for following me here, but down deep I love it.
