Each year I try to donate toward some kind of cancer research. I have lost friends and family to a few different types of cancer, and this year my focus is on breast cancer. When Fat Quarter Shop asked me to make the sample quilt several months ago for their new Support Group Quilt Along I was honored. I made the quilt above that was photographed for the pattern cover, and I knew from the beginning I was planning to auction it off to raise money, so I was really glad that Fat Quarter Shop agreed to do the auction for me. Below I will share a few of the pictures I took while putting this quilt together, and once complete I loaded it to my Handi Quilter long arm machine and did the long arm quilting with the Daisy Delight digital pantograph, those little flowers are only 2" big so it is covered with lots of beautiful texture! After quilting I prepared super scrappy binding & then attached it and finished the final stitches by hand. Tons of love went into this quilt, and I look forward to seeing how much we can raise for those women we love! Link to bid below, thank you for bidding!
